Dragon claws!

Actually more like dragon knuckle talons, but whose keeping track? In the tradition of finger weapons like the Iron Reaver,  I present the Dragon Ring:

Now I really like the aesthetics of this weapon. The little dragons head is well done, and the blade itself actually looks fairly sinister. And whose to say there weren’t vicious blade headed unicorn dragons back in the day?

My only gripe with this weapon is that, sadly, the ring is too small for anyone to have any real control over the blade. You could prbably cut someone if you back handed them, with it, (and you might cut yourself in the process) but forget stabbing and such, unless you have really, really, strong fingers. You’d probably hurt yourself worse than whatever it is you were trying to stab or claw at.

But it looks pretty cool. ‘Nuff said.

Sweeeeeeeeet! I want one for every finger *wicked grin*

But yes, I could see where it could be praticualy problamatic which is most unfortunate I must say.

One on every finger? LOL I guess there is no such thing as overkill when it comes to finger blades is there! You’d certainly be sticking with tradition, as that is how Neko-te (Japanese “cat hands” or finger claws) were also worn. These are obviously not Japanese, but i suppose they would be equally effective. Not to mention quite intimidating… 😀

Fun fact: knife rings are actual weapons. I think they’re from some parts of Africa. However, on those the blade come out straight from the side of the ring, rather then along the finger like on this one. This makes a lot more sense, when you think about it, since the blade then aligns with the arm when you clench your fist.

Anyway, I’d say this is more a piece of jewelry then a weapon. From a purely practical viewpoint, you are still far better of with an actual knife.

Yes, there are actually a lot of real knife rings and finger blades of all kinds. Though I am not familiar with the African variety. Any additional info about those you can provide would be greatly appreciated… 🙂
